Half-way

Today Jessica is 20 weeks pregnant. That means we’re half-way there. We’re both very excited about the progress and Jessica is particularly excited that she’s started to actually look pregnant rather than “like she’s just eaten too many cookies.” (Her words, not mine.)

We’re starting to make real preparations for the baby to be here. We’ve had some very generous friends give us all sorts of their old baby gear, last week we got the baby bedding in the mail, this weekend I ordered Jessica a diaper bag for her Valentine’s day gift (I know, so romantic), and today Jessica went a picked up the paint for the baby’s room. We should be painting this weekend.

Next monday is the “official” sonogram and of course we’re both looking forward to seeing the progress and getting an updated due-date estimate. As we’ve said before, we’re not going to find out the gender of the baby.

Hey Dan-O! Julie and I are thrilled for y’all!! This little one will change your life forever! I only thought that I understood God’s love before our first was born. Not until you hold your own in your arms can you begin to comprehend the depths of God’s love in giving up His “only begotten Son” to be our Savior.

Thanks for coming to say “Hi” to us when you visited us back at ole’ SBC! We miss y’all! We love & pray for you guys every Wednesday morning!

    In His Love & Ours,
    Bro. Mike D.
